The WorldSkills Competition Award Ceremony

The core challenge of this project was to accommodate the efficient staging of hundreds of award recipients. Our solution was to construct a four-sided, in-the-round stage at the center of the arena. With "Skill-Pathway" as the core concept, we used an immense "Array of Light Gates" to build a tangible, perceptible path to glory for every craftsman. This not only resolved the logistical flow but also elevated the act of ascending the stage into a ceremonial journey of coronation.

Skill-Pathway: The Tangible Form of Glory
The key to the design lies in the precise integration of technology and space. The 16 kinetic lighting trusses above the stage were treated not merely as illumination, but as programmable architectural components. They synchronize in real-time with the floor screens and the side light-gate arrays: as a recipient ascends, the floor screen generates a guiding stream of light, while the overhead trusses simultaneously descend or tilt, creating voluminous arches of light beams to form a dynamic and exclusive "Champion's Passage." This design upgrades the stage from a flat plane to a three-dimensional, kinetic structure, using technology to give "honor" a physical form that can be seen and walked through.
